Shift 2: Unleashed is a direct sequel to Need for Speed: Shift. However, it is not another installment of the well-known Need for Speed series - the developers decided to drop this segment in the name. This is because the described production is not a strictly arcade game, but a simulation competing with the Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport series.
In the career mode of Shift 2: Unleashed, we take control of a driver who takes part in successive races fighting for the title of FIA GT1 Federation World Champion. However, it doesn't stop there. We can also test our strength in the GT3 European Championship tournament. The game is fully licensed (cars, tracks, etc.).
Shift 2: Unleashed does not introduce revolutionary changes compared to its predecessor. The authors focused on introducing improvements to the elements that determined the success of the original. The essence of the gameplay is absorbing races during which the action is observed from the perspective of the cockpit of the steered vehicle. It is worth noting that the developers attached great importance to the faithful reproduction of the interiors of individual cars.
Shift 2: Unleashed offers high-quality visuals, an improved physical model responsible for a realistic destruction system. In addition, players are given the opportunity to improve their cars. Also implemented is the Autolog system, known at least from Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. It allows you to compare your results with those obtained by other players.
